Our house

For many hotels, the guest is king.
But for us you are a friend.

You feel that as soon as you enter the lobby of our family-run boutique-hotel, the Kleiner Rosengarten: “I feel at home here!”

Why is that?

The owners Roland Oparaku and his wife Petra Rambow are confident that it is the unique and personal atmosphere which lies behind the success of their small but refined first-class hotel, and it all starts with how they deal with their guests.

The 25 rooms and suites have been lovingly renovated and are fitted with air-conditioning and the latest technology just as you would expect from a four-star hotel.

In our restaurant, the Kleiner Rosengarten, known well beyond Mannheim, you can enjoy luxurious Mediterranean food made by our head chef Kristo with exclusively market-fresh ingredients. Perhaps that is why our restaurant has become one of Mannheim’s gastronomic centres.

Come down to our lavishly restored vaulted cellar, where you’ll find our international wine bar, a place for private parties and celebrations, as well as for business events.

Even today, the 1890 Art Nouveau building which houses our private hotel the Kleiner Rosengarten is a reflection of Mannheim’s history. When renovating the historic property in 2014, the owners placed great value on preserving the building’s façade and the restoration of important and distinctive historical elements. The original residential building was restored in close cooperation with the Office for Monument Protection and converted into a small but refined boutique hotel.
